It’s the perfect chocolate rabbit for a toddler! A dark chocolate-colored, fiber filled rabbit made of wool felt. These ears can withstand repeated chewing.

Chocolate Rabbit Softie as seen on Cricut Design Space

The project is available on Cricut Design Space if you happen to be a user of the craft cutting machine. Alternatively, sketching out a rabbit silhouette and stitching it together works just fine.

I decorated mine like the yellow and blue-eyed Palmer’s bunnies that are packaged in illustrated cardboard boxes. A funny thing, because I always found rabbits from See’s Candies tucked inside my baskets. That’s just what came to mind.

I stitched the decorations onto the front piece before machine sewing the front and back pieces together. Please note that the sides are not pinned right side together, as you will not be turning the rabbit after sewing.

Stuffing the ears was made easier by leaving two openings; the first at the bottom as directed, and the second at the bottom edge of the ears. I used a chopstick to get filling into the tight space.

This finished rabbit measures six inches in height. A total of three hours were needed to complete it.

Hey you!
